Stockport Homes is Stockport’s largest landlord, managing over 120,000 properties on behalf of Stockport Council and private landlords.
The Challenge
Stockport Homes approached ClearVC to modernise their workspace and eliminate the technical issues caused by outdated legacy equipment. Staff using the current meeting solution struggled with its complexity and found collaborating with team members working from home challenging.
Stockport Homes was also struggling with their current room booking system, which they found unintuitive. Stockport Homes desired a more accessible solution that visually indicated if a room was booked or free and integrated seamlessly with Outlook appointments. They sought ClearVC as a partner to produce a state-of-the-art and user-friendly Microsoft Teams solution to enhance communication and teamwork.
The Solution
Collaborating closely with their dedicated account manager, ClearVC delivered an onsite demonstration and a comprehensive proof-of-concept for an end-to-end Yealink Microsoft Teams solution tailored to Stockport Homes’s specific needs. This approach ensured the proposed solution perfectly aligned with the organisation’s requirements.
After several weeks of thorough testing, Stockport Homes confirmed that the solution was ideal for their office environment. With their approval, ClearVC installed the MVC860 system in their boardroom. This setup included high-quality VCM36 wireless microphones and the MVC860 bundle, featuring a UVC86 4K dual-eye tracking camera, an MCore mini-PC, and an MTouch II touch panel. The premium camera leverages AI-driven technology, including auto framing, speaker tracking, and presenter tracking, to keep presenters in focus. The MTouch II touch panel allows for effortless, one-touch meeting access.
For smaller office spaces, ClearVC installed the MVC400 soundbar, mounted on trolleys to provide flexibility, particularly given the predominantly glass walls of the meeting spaces. This setup ensures that the audio-visual equipment can be repositioned as needed.
Each office space was also equipped with a Yealink RoomPanel, seamlessly integrated with Outlook calendars and the Microsoft Teams platform to display real-time office availability. The panel is encircled by an LED indicator that shows green when a room is free and red when it is booked, providing a clear and effective scheduling solution.
